El Dia Los Muertos party

It was about time there was another party at The Moorings. Luckily Frances (Joseph's cousin) was turning 21 and was on holiday from uni so had the time to plan one.

The theme was the Mexican festival El Dia Los Muertos...or Day of the Dead. It is a time when the Mexicans celebrate and honour the lives of the deceased.

Frances hired a band called Ginger Brown to play. They were fab!! Kind of kooky and funky at the same time. They were a three-piece with an organ, guitar and drums. Much to our delight whenever the drummer did a solo the circular platform he was on turned around. Excellent!

The Moorings parties are great for a good boogie and dress up. It was great to catch up with friends and make new ones.

View pics from the party.

Enjoy!
